Acclaimed Figure-skater, Ekaterina Gordeeva, Squeezes The Charmin For Procter & Gamble
HOLLYWOOD: Superstar figure skater, Ekaterina Gordeeva, who tragically lost her husband and skating-partner, Sergei Grinkov, returned to the public eye with a special appearance at Charmin's U, "Honor Roll" Graduation Ceremony. The event took place at the Children's Museum of Manhattan on June 8, 1999.

Charmin designed the Charmin U "Honor Roll" program to offer support to families who are working toward completing the potty training process. The program offers kids and parents free motivational materials including:

"You're on the Honor Roll," an easy to read book reminding children of key bathroom basics tips for parents on keeping children interested in the potty training process; a poster and stickers to reward kids for remembering to practice good bathroom habits; and, a diploma recognizing potty training graduates.

In addition, Charmin also sponsored a photo contest asking parents to send in photos of endearing potty moments. The top three winners were announced at the graduation ceremony and awarded their prizes, which included up to $25,000 toward their college tuition.

The Hollywood-Madison Group, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in celebrity endorsements and personal appearances was responsible for securing Ms. Gordeeva. Manning, Selvage & Lee Chicago, a leading public relations firm, manages the campaign.
