Cybill Shepherd Joins Hewlett-Packard To Celebrate "Expanding Possibilities"
HOLLYWOOD: Four-time, Golden Globe™ winner and Emmy nominee, Cybill Shepherd, was on hand November 11th, to celebrate Hewlett-Packard's new branding strategy launch of their consumer products line. Dubbed "Expanding Possibilities", the event was held before a large gathering of business and trade media at The Galleria, part of San Francisco's famed Design District.

The evening's program, which featured Ms. Shepherd as host, was brilliantly executed by John Santeler of The Santeler Marketing Group. Taking advantage of the large, four-story atrium, the show consisted of interactive dialogue between the host and several actors positioned in different "home office / small business" environments on alternating floors. The audience was able to track these vignettes, courtesy of a large projection screen on stage.

The highlight of the evening was the "ad-libbing" for which Shepherd is famous, not to mention the fun she had introducing the company's top executives, whom she described as co-stars from her different movies ... but whose scenes ended up "on the cutting room floor." Company CEO, Lew Platt, Executive Vice President, Rick Belluzo and Vice President and General Manager, Antonio Perez, delivered the remarks.

The Hollywood-Madison Group, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in celebrity endorsements and personal appearances was responsible for securing the artist. The San Francisco office of Porter Novelli Public Relations created the campaign.

"Audience and consumer attitudes have changed, said Jonathan Holiff. We have all become much more jaded and are no longer taken aback to see A-listers doing commercials stateside."
