Diane Keaton To Present Check To Leukemia Society
HOLLYWOOD: Academy Award-winning actress, Diane Keaton, will present a check in the amount of $2 million to the Leukemia Society of America at an upcoming ceremony in Los Angeles.

Students at more than 1500 schools throughout the country donated $2 million in pennies and spare change this year to the Leukemia Society of America's "Pasta for Pennies" program. The campaign is sponsored by Olive Garden Italian Restaurants to raise funds for the Leukemia Society's mission to cure Leukemia and related cancers. The top classroom at each participating school received a pasta party from Olive Garden and the top fund raising schools received prizes.

The Hollywood-Madison Group, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in celebrity endorsements and personal appearances is responsible for securing the actress. Pierson Grant Public Relations of Ft. Lauderdale, manages the campaign on behalf of Olive Garden.
