HOLLYWOOD: Hollywood descended on Huntington Beach this August to witness one of the most unusual sports spectacles around. Patricia Heaton (“Everybody Loves Raymond”), Dule Hill (“West Wing”) and Catherine Bell (“J.A.G.”) were among more than two-dozen celebrities who attended Philips’ Fusion.
Billed as “the action sports and music festival,” the event attracted more than 600 world-class athletes from across the globe for surfing, bicycle freestyle, skateboarding and inline skating competitions. Fusion, which also featured interactive exhibits and live concerts, is sponsored by Philips Electronics N.A. as part of its effort to reach a younger, hipper demographic.
Other celebrities included: Corbin Bernsen (“L.A. Law”); Trevor Goddard (“J.A.G.”); Neil Patrick Harris (“Doogie Howser, MD”); Bryce Johnson (“Popular”); Andrew Keegan (“Party of Five”); Samm Levine (“Freaks & Geeks”); Taryn Manning (“Crazy Beautiful”); James McDaniel (“NYPD Blue”); Amanda Pays (“The Flash”); and, Julia Whelan (“Once and Again”).
The Hollywood-Madison Group, a Los Angeles-based company specializing in celebrity endorsements and personal appearances was responsible for securing the artists. Manning, Selvage & Lee Atlanta coordinated the event.
