JONATHAN HOLIFF, Founder and President

Jonathan Holiff is a leading authority on entertainment marketing and celebrity endorsements.

He has been retained as an expert witness in court cases involving celebrities, and has been profiled by media in the U.S., Canada, England, Germany, Australia, China and Japan.

Raised in Canada, Jonathan caught the showbiz bug at an early age. His father Saul managed Johnny Cash from 1960 to 1973. His cousin David discovered and managed Jim Carrey and Howie Mandel. Another cousin, Myra, was talent coordinator on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Working with entertainers was the family business.

Jonathan got his start in entertainment public relations in Toronto. From there he went on to a successful career as a television producer on both sides of the border.

For more than a decade Jonathan produced live television, including award shows and music specials. He booked Celine Dion, Alanis Morissette, Shania Twain and Sarah McLachlan on Canadian television before they achieved success in the United States and around the world.

For seven consecutive years [1989-1995] Jonathan was a producer on ESPN’s The NHL Awards, which is broadcast each June from Toronto. And he was instrumental in the production of TBS’ Cybermania ’94 in Los Angeles--the first televised awards show for video games.

In 1991 Jonathan moved to Los Angeles full-time when Growing Pains’ star Alan Thicke asked him to become his personal assistant. Later Jonathan worked in the same capacity for Don Johnson and for Faye Dunaway.

In 1992 Jonathan founded the Association of Celebrity Personal Assistants, Inc. (ACPA). When he stepped down as the organization’s first executive director, the ACPA had 300 members including personal assistants to Kim Basinger, Whoopi Goldberg and Nicholas Cage. The ACPA celebrated its 15th Anniversary in September 2007.

Also in 1992, Jonathan joined the William Morris Agency in Beverly Hills. Recognizing that advertisers needed help identifying and securing celebrities for endorsements, Jonathan left the company to form The Hollywood-Madison Group.

The Hollywood-Madison Group serves many of today's top corporations. Since 1993, the company has hired hundreds of stars including Martin Scorsese, Dennis Hopper and Jessica Simpson for Fortune 500 companies such as General Motors, Procter & Gamble and Sony Electronics.

The Hollywood-Madison Group also offers Celebrity Product Placement.
